The Integrity Institute exposes how in New Zealand Government decisions have been corrupted by businesses, farmers and wealthy people. They use their money and influence to get the decisions they want without regard for the negative impacts on people, the environment and future generations. Unlike other similar countries, New Zealand has little or no regulations to control the corrupting influence of political party donations and lobbying.
The Integrity Institute is also concerned about how most people cannot afford access to civil justice if they have a significant problem. Those who attempt to get justice have to pay excessively high lawyer charges and are usually stripped of their available assets before being forced to give up or agree to an unacceptable settlement.
